G'day guys,

This may seem like a strange request but I am chasing a test corpus of recorded game for Fruity level 61 only.

I am currently revamping the old Java version and putting it back online (to allow people to play back games in the browser, etc). I added record and playback sometime ago, have since redone the network stuff to bring it up to date (firewall issues, etc) and will soon be doing the interface stuff.

In the meantime to check the consistency between versions I've run a consistency checker on the "close to 30000" games I have. No real worries there. The issue is the object type "YAM" did not exist in the Java version, only the directional yams (e.g. YAMU for a yam going upwards). The only level that has the type YAM at the start or in an explosion reaction is level 61 fruity. I'm fairly sure that by checking my 10 or so recorded games I can be reasonably confident there are no issues with randomness, etc, but want to test further.

So, recordings of this level most welcome. Preferrably longer games so there's a chance for more to go wrong (I only check the score and exist times).

Thanks : Wil

I've uploaded 3 recorded games of Fruity level 61. Hopefully they are long enough/test randomness enough. The Java version is very nice to have when I want to play on a PC where I am not allowed to install games.

Okay, also uploaded a few games for this level. I see that they appear automatically in the level listing (when put in a zip file?). The game ids have been well detected, and match to the proper game.
However, I tried uploading 2 old game recordings for Homelands (one at a time, not in a zip file). Even changing the filename so it matches the automated filenaming convention, the games are not recognized: they have a negative gameID. Is it a bug? / Not yet implemented? / Need to send files in a zip format?

I think some people out there would like to see my best games on levels 23 and 73, no? :

No bug.

There is no difference with the mechanism for uploading single files or one zip file. The zip file option is obviously there for practial reasons. The game match attempts to work out which game it is based on the time the game was played, the score and the exittime. Maybe what's happening is that the game does not match because of ticks (but I thought I took that into account). Maybe it's already there (but I thought that was handled as well). There is a very slim chance it is already there but I've managed to have it belonging to another player. This *may* have happened if you emailed me a 'public' game a long time ago and I put it there. Still, it should (at least now) be recognised as your game.

I have not finished the recorded game stuff. My intention is to (for most levels) have a hint game which is available for people who have not completed a level. Players who use this will be 'tagged' as having peeked at the game. On top of this I intend to allow people to make their games both 'public' meaning anyone who has completed the level can have a look and 'gallery' meaning anyone can see. Your level 23, 73, etc could be good gallery candidates. It's not like someone uncapable of completing the level without seeing these is going to be able to copy them! :

I'm not sure exactly my intention, but if you have game IDs that you want me to "update" I am willing to do this (not necessarily immediately). In other words start a robot to go through all games that have been upladed and credit the extra ticks. I have offerred this before and would like to see DREAM's scores credited so he doesn;t have to player them over. I would like to see mine in the same boat but feel that is somewhat unfair unless you guys do it.

As for level 61, I may just extract those games for testing purposes. I don't think anyones done anything special/secret of this level yet anyway.
