Okay, unrelated: Firstly level 15 and 55 have been swapped in Forest, but you'll have to wait until Monday to play since I haven't released new versions (laptop hard drive died a while back and I'll need to re-work the build process a wee bit). Basically games played with the old versions will be swapped as the server gets them. Some testing may still be required... but we'll let the players do that!

Secondly, I have generated a very exhaustive ranking history and modified the server to make it keeps these up to date. Basically every 6 hours a snapshot is taken, they occur from 2am GMT (I meant GMT but implemented it local time (+8gmt)). You can (at the moment) ass "X=9900" to get scores from 16th of January for example, or have a look at a time when DREAM ruled the rankings.

I intend to make these ranking histories more interesting by adding a graph feature to plot different players over different periods so people can compare themselves to others over time on different level sets. I also intend to change the ranking page to show how players are improving or being passed.

That's all for now... really busy, but trying to add a little bit each day or two.

It seems you've already done this, but as a consequence the rankings look rather strange now. The scores are now directly followed by "rr" and a number which might show the improvement of a player.

: I couldn't find the right smiley.... yep.... I couldn't be bothered regenerating the ranking histories on my local machine (development server) so I just hacked it out on the live server. Done.... until Monday. The colours will do. I guess I'll be getting a note from you when you get to level 55!!

I guess this might last some years. :
I've stopped thinking about Level 42 and played a bit Homelands in the meantime. I think I won't reach level 55 before my holiday in New Zealand (and not during the holiday, of course).
By the way, is the new program version required from Monday on or will the old one still work (apart from Forest levels 15 and 55)?

The old one will always still work... the server has been hacked to recognise the version and progress the players (i think).

The new version will be delayed due to my lack of sleep over the weekend and the realisation that I don't have access to a Windows OS on my laptop since I lost the hard drive. So, I'll need to re-setup my Windows so I can build an installer. I could put up new ".exe"/etc files but will wait... The good news is that we finished 5th in our rogaine - the bad is that we had the ability to get 1st or 2nd given the course and out training had everything gone to plan. Alas.
