Wil, did you change the ticket duration to a week? If so, good, personally I punch in a ticket as soon as I get a good score and then take a new ticket. Of course this may not be possible for all players.

I hate it that seb is not playing in "real time" but punches in those scoreheavy tickets so "seldomly". It's like letting your opponent think he has a chance and then at the last minute laying down the law and totally crushing him. Come on frenchy, come out of the bushes and fight like a man :

Nice to have some action in the Homelands levelset. I wish Wil would join the fray and forget about those impossible 1000 pointers. Personally I was very suprised that I could beat my previous personal highscores so easily. Obviously playing the other levelsets have developed my bd4 skills although I hadn't realised it. I thought Homelands levels highscores were almost impossible to beat.

And Wil, put your ticks in so we can see the real standings of active players. Shame that DREAM and ari are not active enough to submit there ticks.

I have no time to play at the moment and will not until late June at earliest. That said you can probably see all my efforts have gone into Homelands.

On the topic of ticks I have bitten the bullet and corrected as many as I have been able to. I realised from the logs and various other information I could reconstruct some of the scores, but due to bugs in ealier versions and lack of logging I have been unable to do it exhaustively. I will continue to make updates (including lose out the ones you recently sent me - which I uploaded but failed to match). Basically where I am certain the information is correct it will be updated (although some of this is scripted, but certain that the rules are correct). In terms of the winners and losers.... seb, Wil, asarkila (probably because we've played more recently). The real winners were DREAM, ari, dandalong and Steffest - Steffest the biggest relative winner.

I will make a few more updates, then once happy will regenerate the ranking histories which will (a) make seb's climb smoother (based on time games were played, not posted times via the ticket check ins) and (b) be correct with the ticks I have. I assume this will show DREAM to be clearly ahead in the past at various stages. Until I do this you can see the winners and losers at the time I made this live update.

Other points: I "lost" on level 54... seems DREAM was one tick faster than me. I've also lost on level 1 since I don't even have a recording (may have to look at backup CDs of my old university account for that).

In general, while I've resisted.... now finally bitten the bullet, it does make it much fairer and more correct. Various little loses of information are unfortunate. Luckily it only influences Homelands. :

As for tickets, seb has about a week, checking the latest one in a couple of days early.... it's tough since you don't want potential new players to stop playing due to short tickets (maybe I need a new metric based on experience, top scores and games played on the ticket).

Great job with ticks. I think this was necessary at some point anyway and makes things fairer and more correct as you said. Thanks.

Yep... I'm still trying to find some of my old recordings, etc, but overall it is better to have some rather than none. Also, see other new post in general forum.

asarkila, I usually play on ticket as far as I can. Tickets last about a week, and usually I don't reach 1000 games in this amount of time.
This time however, I played level 8 hundreds of times... for 1 tick and 50pts improvement : So I have to get a new ticket sooner :
Wil, how rude to see the new rankings with ticks counted. But I think it's just fair that way. That won't help me much as I only recently played seriously levels where speed matters. I'm curious to see if DREAM might awake at some point. Maybe dandalong would have a hint: he's still playing and I remember they sort of know each other ...

And all that without even realising that until now :
I notice I even have some recorded games online !

Thanks Wil, you are far better organized than I am !
That must have been a b**ch to pull off.
