Level 17 (Red Crosshair things)

Attractor wheels, orange in colour, attract aliens for a level-defined time.

Hello,

I was wondering, in the boulderdash game - what are those red
crosshair
like things supposed to be and do? I am on level 17 and am having a
hell of a time getting all the blue diamonds. I realize they spin when
you touch them, but what effect does that have. Those little robot guys
still keep chasing me. I figure the red crosshair things must do
something. Any info would be appreciated.

BTW, excellent little game you got there. Lots of fun to play - bad
thing is it keeps me from my work 8-)

Best regards,

Hi,

I'm glad you got through level 9. I was hoping you weren't playing the old
version with the bug in it (for too long?).

Level 17. I've just played the Linux version and it seems ok. The "wheels"
attract the aliens (green things). To activate a whell push into it (you
probably know this). This will attract the aliens until the "wheel-time"
runs out (level defined) or you push against another wheel. The key to
this level if you just want to get through it is to keep moving. You
cannot run into the aliens (they can only run into you and only when
you're in the clear) -> make a path through the level and follow it
without stopping. Hide in sand or push the wheels if it helps. Also try
not to drop rocks from above unless you are sure you going to hit a
'clear' alien and not lose any blue diamonds.

This should help.

btw: I've forwarded this on to Collin in Denmark (or Switzerland) who is
on level 17. Bruce is there too, but I can see him playing it now, so I'll
leave him in the dark :-)

All the best,

Wil
